Explicit solution of functionally graded plates with respect to law indexes based on a variable separation method

چکیده

The present work aims at building an explicit solution with respect to Functionally Graded Material (FGM) parameter for plate structures. For that, the displacement field is written under a separated variables form: in-plane coordinates x,y, transverse coordinate z and material chosen beforehand. This choice yields non-linear problem that can be solved by iterative process based on classical fixed point strategy. One 2D two 1D linear problems are alternatively. In thickness direction, fourth-order expansion in each layer considered. description, Finite Element method used. number of unknowns reduced compared layerwise approach no additional computation has performed different values parameter. Numerical tests encountered literature provided show accuracy method. Different types FGM law, configurations slenderness ratios Comparing reference solutions models available literature, it concluded model gives very accurate results attractive computational cost.
